A party for a Princess

Josie turned 3!! How can that be.  We had a party with 2 families and their 7 kiddos and then had a day to spend at home.  Josie loved every minute of the "celebration" as she calles it.  She loves to be the center of attention so it was a great night in her book.  Then Daddy brought her home some balloons with candy attached and her day got waaayyyy better.  She had to take them everywhere.

Josie had no interest in having a cake.  It was pink cupcakes for this princess.

Opening presents with her friends.

Mommy and Daddy gave her a doll house and a princess fairy dress.

Wow! Balloons and Candy!!

Princesses still have to feed kitties, even on their birthdays, so they just take their balloons along.

Sorry the pictures aren't that great.  My camera quit working and the repairman said it wan't worth fixing so I'm borrowing Tyler's untill I get a new one. Some turned out ok but I was dissapointed with her party ones.  Darn!

Josie has to be big too!

Some funnies

Some of our funnies from the last few weeks.

While in Wal-Mart, Josie asked a total stranger "are you mean, because you look like a bad guy?"
That was one moment that I wished her speech wasn't so clear.

I heard Josie messing around in the bathroom, which usually ends up with large amounts of water all over, or nail polish or lipstick so I holler back there and ask her what she is doing, to which she replies "oh mom, I'm just breathing".  That girl knows how to deflect trouble.

We were in the car ready to head to Wesley and Josie's well dr apt and Wesley pipes up with "mom do we need shoes, and why did you say I need to wear underwear?"  Seriously that boy had shoes on 5 minutes earlier and why o why is underwear even negotiable?  Needless to say we went back to add to his ensemble before heading to the Dr.

I asked Josie if she wants to be a pretty princess for Halloween and she replies "no mom I want to be a ninja"  Um this mom says no.  I have 3 ninjas and I think it’s time for a princess.

At lunch a while back Wesley was telling us how awesome it was to hang out in the "man cave" where no girls can bother them.  Josie pipes up with her little sassy attitude and says "oh ya, well I have a Man Cage"!

A while ago we were at the Chinese restaurant and Eric read his fortune from his cookie and said “good thing that’s not true since only God knows our real fortunes and if we will become a legend".  I say-- "that’s right but how do you know about legends"  Eric--"Oh mom if I had a nickel for every time I've heard about legends I would at least be able to buy a tootsie roll".
Here is a moment that aperently Josie was doing more than just breathing while in the bathroom.  The girls loves lipstick!

More summer fun

We made another trip to Tanganyika Wildlife Park this summer.  Its easy to see why the kids just love that zoo.

Just hangin with the Lemurs

Josie thought they were pretty funny.  She doens't appreciate the "no touching" rule.  They can come touch her but we are not suppoose to reach out and touch them,  When something that looks so cute and cuddly come to sit by you, I can see her reason.

There's got to be one in every crowd :)

Aww, yes Wesley.  Kangaroos do that too.

Josie was pretty sure she was moving in with this mama kanga.

The Lorikeets are pretty cool too.

Eric and Wesley riding the camel

Big brother Tyler took Josie on a ride.  She had no reservation this time.  The last time we went, she had nothing to do with the camel but she sure told everyone she rode it.

I told her to go brush her teeth and get ready for bed.  Obviousaly she didn't make it.  Tanganyika can sure wear a girl out.
